These are the most exciting times, fellow travellers. Our Dear Leader (ODL) is busy at it again. His vaunted Liberty Re-imagined Order was signed at 4:42 PM yesterday, unleashing a tidal wave of spontaneous love and respect from a grateful nation.

New York’s JFK Airport Terminal 4: Crowds Supporting Trump or Immigrants (Alternate Factual Choices), January 28, 2017

A partial report from the New York Times today:

WASHINGTON — A federal judge blocked part of President Trump’s executive order on immigration on Saturday evening, ordering that refugees and others trapped at airports across the United States should not be sent back to their home countries. But the judge stopped short of letting them into the country or issuing a broader ruling on the constitutionality of Mr. Trump’s actions.

Judge Ann M. Donnelly of Federal District Court in Brooklyn, who was nominated by former President Barack Obama, ruled just before 9 p.m. that implementing Mr. Trump’s order by sending the travelers home could cause them “irreparable harm.”

While none of the detainees will be sent back immediately, lawyers for the plaintiffs in the case expressed concern that all those at the airports would now be put in detention, pending a resolution of the case. Inviting the lawyers to return to court if the travelers were detained, Judge Donnelly said, “If someone is not being released, I guess I’ll just hear from you.”

President Trump’s executive order on immigration had quickly reverberated across the United States and the world on Saturday, slamming the border shut for an Iranian scientist headed to a lab in Massachusetts, a Syrian refugee family headed to a new life in Ohio and countless others.

Around the nation, security personnel at major international airports had new rules to follow, though the application of the order appeared uneven. Humanitarian organizations delivered the bad news to overseas families that had overcome the bureaucratic hurdles previously in place and were all set to travel. And refugees already on flights when the order was signed on Friday found themselves detained upon arrival.

“We’ve gotten reports of people being detained all over the country,” said Becca Heller, the director of the International Refugee Assistance Project. “They’re literally pouring in by the minute.”

Human rights groups reported that legal permanent residents of the United States who hold green cards were being stopped in foreign airports as they sought to return from funerals, vacations or study abroad. There was widespread condemnation of the order, from religious leaders, business executives, academics, political leaders and others. Mr. Trump’s supporters offered praise, calling it a necessary step on behalf of the nation’s security.

The president’s order, enacted with the stroke of a pen at 4:42 p.m. Friday, suspended entry of all refugees to the United States for 120 days, barred Syrian refugees indefinitely, and blocked entry into the United States for 90 days for citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

The Department of Homeland Security said that the order also barred green card holders from those countries from re-entering the United States. In a briefing for reporters, White House officials said that green card holders from the seven affected countries who are outside the United States would need a case-by-case waiver to return.

Legal residents who have a green card and are currently in the United States should meet with a consular officer before leaving the country, a White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told reporters. Officials did not clarify the criteria that would qualify someone for a waiver, other than that it would be granted “in the national interest.”

But the week-old administration appeared to be implementing the order chaotically, with agencies and officials around the globe interpreting it in different ways.

Asked about Friday’s immigration executive order, Mr. Trump suggested an orderly rollout. “It’s not a Muslim ban, but we were totally prepared,” he said. “It’s working out very nicely. You see it at the airports, you see it all over.”

White House aides claimed on Saturday that there had been consultations with officials at the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security about carrying out the order. “Everyone who needed to know was informed,” one aide said.

But that assertion was denied by multiple officials with knowledge of the interactions, including two officials at the State Department. Leaders of Customs and Border Protection and of Citizenship and Immigration Services — the two agencies most directly affected by the order — were on a telephone briefing on the new policy even as Mr. Trump signed it on Friday, two officials said.

At least one case prompted a legal challenge as lawyers representing two Iraqis held at Kennedy Airport filed a motion early Saturday seeking to have their clients released. They also filed a motion for class certification, in an effort to represent all refugees and other immigrants who they said were being unlawfully detained at ports of entry.

Before the two men were released, one of the lawyers, Mark Doss, a supervising attorney at the International Refugee Assistance Project, asked an official, “Who is the person we need to talk to?”

“Call Mr. Trump,” said the official, who declined to identify himself.

It was unclear how many refugees and other immigrants were being held nationwide in relation to the executive order although there were reports of detentions from the airports serving Atlanta, Houston, Detroit and Washington, D.C., among others.

A textbook case of Trumpian government organization and planning in action. Chaos, uneven application, overreach, policy incoordination, lack of minimal planning, lying, cover-up, non-transparency, Agency confusion, enforcement incoherence, and claims of completely superlative execution and self-back patting from the Man at the Top Who Sees All.

Our President has suffered mightily in recent days from a massively deflated, tiny, oh so small feeling stemming from his largely unappreciated efforts to enhance public appreciation of his magnificent inauguration crowd sizes just last week, not to mention the roving army of illegal alien voters causing depredation, terror and terrible acts all over this country, but especially in New York and California. Acts which are unacceptable to gentle spirits and tender shoots alike.

With immensely powerful, fully determined strokes of his special edition U.S. Presidential Sharpie (the event undoubtedly captured and gone viral on YouTube if you must look), Trump.45 launched a locust army of minions to descend on borders, ports, airports, and travel entryways across the country to immediately halt the flow of unwanted, unvetted (mostly, except for the highly suspicious dual nationality, and legal U.S Green Card citizens who were caught in the net), and unwelcome interlopers, always trying to get a leg up and steal the American dream from those who belong here or were smart enough to make it inside our precious borders just ahead of Immigration D-Day. No prisoners, no exceptions, no excuses. Ignorance of Trump’s Law is never an acceptable dodge.

All action, No talk from Trump.45. He said it, he’ll do it. He means it.

And to make sure all those foreign miscreants (and any soft soap Americans just hanging around who don’t get it either), Trump the Man arranged for the nearby standing reminder of Swat Teamed equipped hordes, sporting extra long Billy clubs to make the point with a swagger. And, one tough hombre in a Stetson to emphasize the Wild West theme.

As a magical, unintended added psychic balming and calming side benefit, in just 24 hours, Trump has managed to generate crowds that already rival his inaugural triumphantly record-setting crowds. And this time, the crowds are spread out not just in the swampy cesspools of Washington at the National Mall, but at airports and immigration entry stations around the whole country.

Millions of loyal, patriotic Americans are taking time out of their busy weekend schedules and turning out in droves to show their fealty, love and respect for Trump’s bold, Devil May Care, Damn the Torpedoes, I Have Not Yet Begun to Fight, “Nuts” brand of exciting out-in-front personal leadership.

Nighttime Liberty Crowds at Brooklyn Federal Courthouse (1/28/17)

We don’t need no stinkin’ badges to do the right thing by America. Now, there is one Federal Judge who just said, “Hold on there, actually, let’s see those badges, warrants, EO’s etc. Not quite so fast.” Wouldn’t you just know it was some woman, probably hormonal too. Shades of Kelly the Blond who got it all wrong, and didn’t recognize the munificence and gentle guidance for all womenfolk that pours out from inside ODL Trump.

This may be Trump’s Wild West Showdown in his own mind, but the nation’s judiciary just might be on 21st Century Legal Time, a couple time zones off the Trump.45 pace.

Back to New York. More Huge Liberty Crowds at JFK (1/28/17)

That is neither here nor there, since Trump.45 is about to fix the Supreme Court as soon as next Thursday at 11 AM (or thereabouts) when he unveils his strict constructionist pick who will overwhelm America’s better senses with his august legal authority, and fix PDQ not just the right to life thing (long overdue), but embrace the robust Executive Powers Trump needs as well, or else their potential ticket to the Supreme Destination can still be cancelled, also PDQ.

In the meantime, natural birth-right American citizens, enjoy and savor these lovely pictures from the opposition New York Times (which doesn’t realize the impact of what they’re posting, heh, heh) and the Business Insider of these magnificent crowds pouring out all over the country to celebrate and bolster our Pres-45 in his desperate hour of social support need. Trump’s crowd size receptors are swelling with pride at the amazing turnout our President has aroused in response to his immigration initiatives in just one measly 24-hour period.

Trump.45 was feeling so very down about the recent impudent challenges to his political virility, but now he can perk right up and then get a good night’s rest this weekend.

The haters and losers left out there can just go grind their teeth. And that female judge (she’s only a Federal District Judge anyway, just a lightweight in the hierarchy) better get with the new program, or she might find herself holding court in the broom closet down the hall or in the Ladies’, with no secretary or law clerk to help her out. Just sayin’.

God Bless America, and May Her Light of Liberty and Freedom Shine Bright for All the Weary World to See and Marvel At.

Lady Liberty Weeps Alone for the Theft of Her Honor and Glory

Amen.

One Final Thing

A supervising attorney at the International Refugee Assistance Project, asked an official, “Who is the person we need to talk to?”

“Call Mr. Trump,” said the official, who declined to identify himself.

You heard the man, shy though he be, identity wise. Our beloved President aches to hear from all patriotic Americans, any time of the day or night, who want to fully express their profound feelings of love, appreciation and respect for his sterling qualities, and in particular, assuage his persistent crowd size anxieties.

So, let Trump.45 have it, full volume, 10 out of 10, right between the ears. Your honest American feelings will be so much heavenly music to soothe his fevered brow, and let Liberty know she is not forgotten either, in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.
