The time is now. The reckoning every student (even good ones) feels some anxiety about. The periodic objective evaluation of their performance, otherwise known as the Report Card.
A Report Card Like Trump Never Got
Every US adult has passed through this ritual dozens to hundreds of times. Trump an average number of times for college graduates, since he has no advanced training or education. All records indicate he was at best an average to mediocre student when it counted.
So, he never had the chance to receive much of a personal boost from an All A’s or Mostly A’s and B’s bit of written praise from his teachers or Professors. He always had an excuse: teacher didn’t like him, they were prejudiced, he had to go back to New York on weekends to work for Dad. You name it. He did do well enough in college to ward off the dreaded fail out and wind up in Vietnam conundrum facing millions in the late 60’s.
There is no reliable evidence of a Trump History of Sterling Report Card performance at any time in his youth.
Thus today’s Pandemic Report Card is even more of an unwelcome public hit and private grievance for him to chew on and fester over.
For his 9-month COVID-19 Pandemic Report Card as Most Important Political Leader on the Planet is beyond dismal. It is the functional equivalent of an unbroken vista of solid F’s. Across the Board, with no relief. Not even a Pass in Gym Class or Rocks for Jocks (Geology 101). And unsatisfactory U’s for behaviors, like Gets Along Well With Others.

Trump’s Plague Death Clock
Trump.45 ducked his own Military Obligation when America called him to service in 1968. For those American men of a Certain Age (including Trump and myself), the Vietnam War shaped our thinking and responses to political crises for 50 years and more.
It took five Presidents (Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford) a combined 21 years (1954-1975) to pursue and exit this conflict and in the process visit upon our Nation collectively 58,000 Dead and 153,000 wounded and injured Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen.
Donald J Trump, acting in his favored role of Pandemic Commander in Chief, has far surpassed that actual record of American Carnage. In just 9 months he has visited upon our native shores 4 Vietnams of American Death, and 60 Vietnams worth of Sick and Injured Americans due to COVID-19.
At his current rates of production, he is adding a little less than 1/2 Vietnam of Death and 16 Vietnams worth of Sickness and Injury to burden our Fellow Citizens each month going forward. And there is No Corner To Be Rounded anywhere nearby.
In all the Wars and military conflicts American has ever fought in from 1775-2020 we have sustained a total of 2.89 Million dead, wounded, and missing in action.
In 9 months, Trump.45 has managed to inflict 3 times more civilian casualties on this country than America has suffered to all its Armed Forces in every war for the past 245 years combined.
These numbers are horrifying, stupefying, numbing, and incomprehensible. He has no plan or operating strategy to extricate our country. He seems resolved to let it burn on, while he turns his back, and waves the White Flag of Surrender.
That is about the Most Un-American Act any President could perform.
And he thinks he can blame China and get back to playing Golf and Tweeting, while he compiles his Enemies Revenge List to execute for 2021.
His Pandemic record is a World Title Disaster of incompetence across the board. He has earned only Failing Marks at everything Covid he has touched. History will not be kind to the 45th President of the United States.
America’s Voters can sign his last Report Card for good tomorrow. We have never tolerated such a despicable and avoidable mess for a Second Act.
